At Sumora, we are committed to providing tough, accurate, and powerful diving gear.
We are experienced divers and understand that the sea is a harsh, unforgiving environment - where nature is raw and untamed, and where the spearo is not a spectator, but a participant. In this rugged setting, there can be no room for equipment failure. It is crucial for a spearo to have performance gear that can be relied upon time after time, dive after dive, year after year.
The name Sumora stems from Samora Machel, (1933-1989) a prominent leader of Frelimo and president of Mozambique. In short, he was effective and strong, and stood behind everything he did.
All Sumora gear has been extensively tested in challenging South African diving conditions. We don't sell any gear that we don't personally use ourselves, and we stand behind all our products. If you are not happy with any of our products for any reason, we want you to tell us. If you are happy, we want you to tell your spearo friends.
